This song is our first stab at a synth-led song and it gave us a challenge both musically and lyrically. We changed it several times before it was finished, the last time being just a few days before we recorded it.
Kiss the Ring is, in short, about how social media is causing selfishness and loss of perspective. Trevor, Hugs, and Bethany all wrote these lyrics together after a long period of Bethany having no idea what to write for a synth song. It happens to contain the longest scream to date that she has recorded.
