We specifically wrote For the Fight to be an album-opening song. It wasn’t in the original line-up of songs we had written, but we knew we needed one more anthemic song to open with.
For the Fight is about fighting for what is right, or fighting the good fight so to say. It was the first song Bethany wrote lyrics for on the album, and it set the tone for everything that followed.
