We’re excited to share our latest release: “What It Sounds Like,” our orchestral hard rock cover of the song from KPop Demon Hunters.
Trevor and Bethany fell in love with this song the first time they heard it and pretty quickly started talking about how they could take the song and make it our own. They felt the messaging of the song highlighted elements of their faith and loved how the song builds musically, much like they try to do with their own music.
Our version brings together hard rock, metal elements, cinematic production, and symphonic orchestration to give the song a darker, heavier sound while keeping the heart of what made us love the original.
But the music was only part of the project.
The Music Video
We wanted to create a visual experience that matched the scale of the cover, so we went all in.
The animated music video took more than seven months to produce, generate, and edit. While we used AI as part of the creative process, there was still a tremendous amount of human work behind the scenes—developing the vision, generating and refining scenes, editing, and bringing everything together around the music.
We’ll share more about that process soon.
For now, we simply want you to experience the finished vision.
