When we started this journey, it wasn’t even on our radar to have a dedicated space for music — we just got started! No fancy setup, no big plans, just a couple of mics, guitars, a laptop, and a whole lot of noise complaints waiting to happen.
But now, after over six years of working out of our living room, a shared workspace, and make-shifting our way through every video and recording session, this milestone hits different. We’re so grateful for every space we’ve been able to create in — each one played a part in getting us here — but this time… it’s ours.
Because of our big move to the U.S., we finally have the space — and somehow, by the grace of God, the means — to make a dedicated Stands on Sapphires studio a reality. Honestly? We didn’t think this would happen anytime soon. But here we are, surrounded by guitars, cables, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
🎥 To share this milestone, we made a studio setup time-lapse video so you can see the whole thing come to life — from an empty room to a full creative zone of guitars, mics, and very questionable DIY choices. We even built our own acoustic panels… with zero prior experience. (Were we cheap? Yes. Were we smart? We’ll let you decide.)
Watch it here:
Having this space changes a lot. We can record whenever inspiration hits (especially vocals — it’s finally quiet here!), film new videos without tearing everything down afterward, and maybe even open our doors to other artists someday (Hellllloo Sapphires Studio!). For the first time, it feels like we have a true home for our music — a place built for creativity, worship, and pure noise.
Honestly, it’s hard to put into words how thankful we are. This move has opened so many doors for us, and we’re beyond excited to see what this next chapter looks like for SonS.
Here’s to new songs, late nights, and our very own studio (finally!).
